Mahatma Gandhi Museum- Madurai
Post lunch, we booked a cab again to the famous Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Museum. It is one of the five Gandhi museums in the country.
Museum timings are 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
We waited outside for some time as we reached early, and at sharp 2 pm, the museum doors were opened.
The collections include handwritten letters, photos, manuscripts, and garments worn by Gandhiji during the assassination. This place is a must-visit for our generation to understand, respect, and value the amount of sacrifice during the freedom struggle, and Mahatma Gandhiji’s emphasis on non-violence.
